Exhale- Central Park South

This review is for Core Fusion Barre and Exhale Power Yoga, both of which are fantastic, pretty unique classes at Exhale Central Park South. I’ll add reviews for the other Exhale studios I’ve been to as well, but this is by far my favorite. It’s so fancy, and for this ClassPasser, it’s a treat each week to trek up to Central Park for barre in a beautiful studio and a schvitz in the sauna.

Core Fusion Barre is a pretty typical barre class, but don’t expect sweat-free experience. The workout starts with a bit of cardio in addition, followed by arms with light weights, thighs at the barre, gluts, then abs. You get a nice stretch between each section, but your muscles will still burn and the barre work especially kills me. The instructors are upbeat and constantly correcting technique, which is much appreciated.

Exhale Power Yoga is a quick-paced vinyasa flow. While the barre studio is carpeted, the large yoga studio is not. Mats and towels are free, which just adds to the all-inclusive experience. There are yoga studios that I like better, so I prefer to use my ClassPass allotment on barre classes, but I would definitely do another Power Yoga class in a pinch.

Next up, Exhale’s Cardio Core options!
